Tsavo East & Tsavo West
2 Nights

Day 1

06:00 – Departure from the hotel
Drive through Mombasa to the Nairobi route. A short toilet break is planned, as well as the opportunity to buy cold drinks, coffee and souvenirs. Drive to the entrance gate to Tsavo West Park. Tsavo West, together with Tsavo East, forms the largest National Park in Kenya, covering an area of 22,812 km² (Tsavo West covers 9,065 km²). The park is famous for its diverse landscapes, such as hills, rivers, lakes and forests.

Game Drive
Our first game drive will stop at Mzima Springs where we will walk to an underwater observatory and visit a rhino sanctuary. Our experienced driver-guide will search for animals, communicating with other guides via CB radio and telephone to increase your chances of seeing wildlife.

13:00 – Accommodation and dinner at the hotel/lodge
Upon arrival, accommodation in rooms and a buffet lunch. After lunch, time to relax.

16:00 – Afternoon Game Drive
Once the temperature drops, we head out on another game drive to watch active animals and enjoy the views until 6:00–6:30 PM (driving in the park after dark is prohibited).

Evening – Dinner and overnight stay
Dinner at the hotel, opportunity to observe animals from the observation deck and overnight stay.

Day 2

Early wake up and breakfast, then check out
Morning game drive departing from Tsavo West Park and travelling to Tsavo East Park.

Tsavo East
Tsavo East Park covers an area of 11,747 km² and is a vast, untouched semi-desert area covered with dry shrubs and acacias. The Galana River with the Lugard Falls flows through the park, and on the horizon is the 300 km long Yatta Plateau. The park is famous for its red elephants, buffalo, lions, leopards, as well as numerous herds of zebras, giraffes and many species of antelope. It is also an excellent place for bird watching - you can see about 500 species here.

12:00–13:00 – Accommodation and lunch
Upon arrival, accommodation in rooms and a buffet dinner. Time for a moment of rest, with the possibility of using the swimming pool.

16:00 – Afternoon Game Drive
We set off on another game drive to admire the scenery and spot animals during the golden hour until 6:00–6:30 PM.

Evening – Dinner and overnight stay
Dinner at the hotel, opportunity to observe animals from the observation deck and overnight stay.

 

Day 3

Early wake up and breakfast
Breakfast at dawn, check out from the hotel and morning game drive. Early hours are the best time to observe animals heading to watering holes.

Departure from the Park and return to Mombasa
After the safari, return towards Mombasa. On the way there is an optional visit to a traditional Masai village.
